My toe my poor poor toe.

I'm in f**king #@## pain now. And I'm in London. My big toe is broken, I think. It's bloody throbbing. And it doesn't matter how I position or rest it in various angles. The pain will just not go away. I'm going to have to miss the rest of London fashion week and look for a hospital for my poor toe. Is London healthcare good??? Pls let it be!!!! It's turning in beautiful shades of purple and looking gnome-like.
In times like this i just want to cry. I think it's a hairline fracture.
How did I get this, well, my colleague was sliding off a heavy wood bar stool and it toppled over and fell on my toe hard. HARD HARD HARD. BANG.
How to drive when I'm back in Singapore?? I'm walking strange now, resting all the weight on side of my foot. Argh!!!! Maybe I can never wear high heels for the rest of my life now. How to put foot into shoe??? I'm in so much agony now... where is divine intervention!!! Argh!!! Wo Bu Yao Huo Le!
For the past half hour I have been soaking my foot in cold water in a ziplog bag. It's not recovering. Argh AHHHHH!!!!!!

I've just watched this movie today, sprawled all over the couch half drowsy because I'm supposed to work and I cannot because it's raining, which always makes me feel either really restless, or damn sleepy, and both moods are not conducive to work.
I can't decide right now which character is more selfish and stupidly obsessed, and which one is cuter. maybe Bale. Or Hugh, or Bale... This show is in-part about sacrifices, but I don't really think either had really sacrificed. Just a couple of guys taking revenge on each other again and again, with the richer one a little less creative.

Office wear

Wore this Doug pointed dress by Baylene to work on Friday.
The sleeves are a little stiff, so when I walk too near to people, the sleeves will flap them softly. Some remarked that I look like Queen something from Star Wars. I think it's a v cute shift dress! But the only slight advantage is that when I attend meetings in cold cold rooms, I can't stuff the sleeves into my favourite work cardigan.

My wonderful House session

House at Spa Esprit is fantastic. Their 90-min Hot Stone Massage (TDF) is the only treatment in town that can cure my back aches. It's expensive!! but I highly recommend it. Look for Christine. Everything is just right, room temp, massage pressure, ... Ok the place is a little hard to get to now that it's undergoing partial renovation. I had to talk and walk through the ground floor restaurant Barracks to find it. And, after the treatment, I was asked to fill up a survey form... I was happy to do it, since the survey form came with muffins and cookies and a ginger tea, of course, bribery involving food always works! I rated them very high, now who wouldn't!?!

I want to buy a spa package with House, who would like to share with me?

Weird questions from friends

I get asked alot of weird stuff by friends... here's one.

At Chinese restaurant in Taka, friend recommended a (fish) Carp soup to share, but voiced reservations that I might not like it. I replied that you can never be too sure, I'm cantonese and we're known to eat all sorts. She asked," Since WHEN were you a Cantonese?"

More Baylene for me!

I have not blogged for the longest time! Life has been very very hectic recently, totally hijacked by work, though I do see some light at end of tunnel. Hopefully Project wraps up by this wednesday nicely.

Received another sms from Baylene, Further Discounts! Bought a space-sleeves dress, and a kimono top, all at 75% off! The best! Miraculously in my size! Will wear them to the office and test corporate-wear boundaries again.

Baylene on Pause

Baylene's designs are always strong, with simple lines, with transforming details, timeless.
A nice Japanese in the retail line likened her jackets to Commes des Garcons'. I got a neat jacket from her AW 09 collection... I thought I looked really sharp in it, then a friend said I looked like a magician whilst another said Penguin. OK so I look like a Sharp Magician Penguin. But a happy Penguin because she found a brand which caters to her narrow sloping shoulders.

Then in April, I received an sms from her boutique... Baylene is on break! She will like to take some time out, and her current collection is 50% off. I was sad but quickly trooped down to grab what's left. I got a matching black skirt to the jacket, and a translucent top with great sleeves. Sleeves that won't fit into my cardigans.

There was another dress with space age sleeves, something to make the old corporate foggies raise their eyebrows and shake their heads, but Urgh!! They don't have it in my size anymore.

And look at that biker-chic jacket! a little Balmain, but still mostly Baylene. How I would love to get my hands on it and swagger around (but didn't see it in the store though).

As I was leaving the boutique with my purchases, I guessed I spoke with a tinge of desperation, "So how long do you think her break is going to be?" "DON'T WORRY, she'll be back."
I'm waiting.

I want to get a beach cruiser bicycle!Light blue in colour, with a caramel lao-sai colour seat. With a flat basket infront, for a small daschund to lay in when his short stumpy legs are tired.

I reward myself

Life's tough, shopping goes on.
I still need another bag, but I consciously look for cheaper ones now. The above, the Gia from Jenny Yuen was going for 65% off.
So I bought it! In timeless vintage style with a little edginess... though the chain is a little too trendy for the moment, got a feeling this bag can last me a few seasons still.

I can't drink now.

I've been on the cockroach pills for about a month now, and whenever I drink, I turn really itchy all over. I conclude that they are very good for alcoholics on the reform path. It seriously causes great discomfort.

Another side effect of the medication is dry skin and chapped lips. I do not go anywhere without lip balm nowadays. I also have a backup lip balm, and another one as the backup for the backup. Taking no chances.
