Singapore National Day coming right up! So let's do the patriotic thing and support local movies! Go see Royston Tan's new movie 881, which I think is going to be hilarious!
"881"- Sounds like Papaya in English - The movie is about a Getai two sisters act who called themselves the Papaya Sisters. Glitzy, Hokkien, & Fun!
See movie trailer at below link. The last part of the trailer, where people en masse chanted in hokkien "881 yeo-ah, yeo-ah, yeo-ah, yeo", gave me massive goosebumps. Shiok.
